The 6th Annual United States Steel Legendary 100 weekend kicks off Thursday September 13th with a complete show for Midwest Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Hornets. Drivers will draw for their Heat starting position & passing points along with B-Mains will determine the starting lineup for Thursday’s Qualifying Feature with that night’s top finishers qualifying for Saturday’s Legendary 100 main event (exact number TBD).
Night two, Friday September 14th will again feature a complete shows in three divisions but this night it will be Pro Stocks, Modifieds, and Late Models. Drivers will again draw for their Heat starting position & passing points along with B-Mains will determine the starting lineup for Friday’s Qualifying Features with the night’s top finishers qualifying for Saturday’s Legendary 100 Feature (exact number TBD).
Saturday September 15th marks the final night of competition for all SIX divisions. B features, last chance races and the main events for all 6 classes will top off one great weekend of racing.
Competitors do not need a NASCAR license to compete this weekend as it will not be sanctioned NASCAR. Cedar Lake Speedway will utilize their current track tire rule allowing Hoosier, Goodyear & American Racers. This gives every driver in the area the opportunity to race at Cedar Lake without needing to join or change their car. The Legendary 100 tire rule is as follows:
Late Models: Hoosier WRS-2 55, Goodyear G45 & G50 or American Racer 56 block pattern spec tires. Grooving & Siping is allowed on all three brands.
Modifieds: Goodyear G65 & G50 or Hoosier E-Mod H40 (Grooving allowed on outer groove only, siping is allowed) & H35 (Siping only allowed, no grooving) or American Racer G60 & KK704. Grooving is allowed on Goodyears & American Racers. Siping is allowed on all brands.
Super Stocks: Goodyear G65 & G50 or Hoosier E-Mod H40 & 35. Siping and grooving is allowed on both brands.
Mid Mods: Goodyear G65 & G50 or Hoosier E-Mod H40 & 35. Siping and grooving is allowed on both brands.
