Sept 10, 2007. New Richmond, WI. With over 400 cars expected for this year’s Legendary 100 at Cedar Lake Speedway anticipation is growing. Fans and drivers can expect many things that will make this year’s installment the must see event for 2007.

Format: The same format used last year will again be implemented for 2007. Fans raved about the format with features each and every night! Drivers will draw for heat starting position with passing points determining their advancement to nightly qualifying features or b-main. Drivers finishing 8th or better in the nightly features qualify for the big dance on Saturday. For the drivers 9th on back we will use accumulated passing to set the grid for the multiple b-mains on Saturday. Wednesday night’s program features a full show of Street Stocks and Midwest Modifieds. Thursday and Friday features heats, b-main and a-main qualifiers for Super Stocks, Modifieds and Late Models. Saturday’s program includes b-mains, last chance qualifiers and the main events. Friday and Saturday also includes Pure Stocks, back by popular demand. Pures will run heats Friday and features on Saturday.

Race of Champions (ROC): This newly added race will feature the top 11 in DTRA points. The best of the best in the DTRA Nation will do battle for bragging rights and cash. Point Chases: This is what makes the Legendary 100 at Cedar Lake a must see event. The DTRA point structure utilizes a driver’s 10 best shows thru July 31st. Afterwards the top 10 drivers are locked into their own group and no further than 5 points behind the guy in front of them. The DTRA then uses the 5 best shows thru August and September with the Legendary 100 being the last point event. Fans get to see the final point chases unfold in front of them. The Friday night Late Model qualifying feature in 2006 saw a battle between the top 5 to determine the 2nd thru 5th positions for final DTRA points. Those that were there can attest to the importance and excitement these races generate. This year the points battles are even closer coming into this all important weekend.

  • Arnie’s Sleds & Trailers Late Models: It all comes down to this! Brent Larson and defending champ Pat Doar are tied up going into this weekend. No other race all year matters as much as these.
  • Bernick’s Pepsi Modifieds: defending DTRA champion Dave Cain holds a very slim 3 point lead over the V2 machine of Joey Jensen. Jason Miller in the 12M, last years Legendary 100 winner looks to keep 3rd position from the others.
  • Winners Go Goodyear Super Stocks: Defending champion Ryan Aho holds the top spot while Larry Boumeester, Mike Bellefuille, Mike Weber and Dale Gangl round out the top 5. Those positions are up for grabs at the Legendary 100.
  • Merchant Card Intl. Midwest Modifieds: Greg Chesley has 1st place handled while the battle for 2nd, 3rd & 4th couldn’t be any closer with 2 points separating Andy Jones, Ryan Olson & defending champ Dan Wheeler!
  • Grand Casino Street Stocks: DTRA’s western tracks are represented well with Steffen Snare & Jim Geringer holding the top 2 spots. Jason Vandekamp follows a close 3rd. Behind him it is all knotted up.

These exciting point races will all shake out at the Legendary 100! Don’t miss the last point races of the season!
