Cedar Lake Speedway Announces Updated Tire Rule.
April 19, 2008 New Richmond, WI- Consistent with the track’s history of listening to driver’s concerns and comments, Cedar Lake Speedway has made the decision to implement the following track tire rule effective April 26th thru June 14th.
Late Models- Goodyear G50, Hoosier WRS2-55 and American Racer MD56 Block Pattern Spec tire will be allowed on all four corners. Grooving and siping will be allowed on all three brands. Note: Hoosier WRS-55 may be used on the right rear only & Hoosier D55 may be used on the front only.
Modifieds- Goodyear G60, Hoosier E-Mod H40 & American Racer G60 or KK704 will be allowed on all four corners. Grooving and siping will be allowed on the Goodyear and American Racer brands. The outer groove is the only area that is allowed to be grooved on the Hoosier. Siping is also allowed on the Hoosier. Note: Hoosier A40 & D40 may be used on the front only.
Super Stocks- Goodyear G60 & Hoosier E-Mod H40 will be allowed on all four corners. Grooving and siping will be allowed on both brands. Note: Hoosier A40 & D40 may be used on the front only.
Mid Mods- Goodyear 8” G60 & Hoosier E-Mod H40 will be allowed on all four corners. Grooving and siping will be allowed on both brands. Note: Hoosier A40 & D40 may be used on the front only.
Street Stocks- Goodyear 8” G60 & Hoosier E-Mod H40 will be allowed on all four corners. Grooving and siping will be allowed on both brands. Note: Hoosier A40, D40, Dirt Stocker & Super Dirt Stocker my be used on the front only.
Drivers may elect to mix tire brands. Softening of tires is not allowed and will be enforced.
After June 14th a decision will be made by track management on any changes or revisions needed.
