2009 Modified Engine Rules Amended

Thru conversations with drivers, engine builders & car owners and keeping with their promise to evaluate rules in the event of competitive advantages Cedar Lake Speedway has chose to amend their 2009 Modified engine rules in regards to USRA type and non-spec engines. 

Effective immediatly and to be enforced on April 25th and beyond the following engine changes have been made:

USRA Type engine configurations are allowed.  50 lbs must be placed in front of the engine plate and the car must weigh 2600 lbs after the race.

Non-Spec headed engines are allowed with the following provisions.
Approved Heads: Chrysler and Ford cast heads except W-2 or SVO.  Chevrolet straight plug heads with the following castings numbers: 040, 041, 041x, 186, 187, 291, 461, 461x, 462 & 492.  Angle plug or turbo heads are not allowed.  These heads may be ported.  Roller rockers are allowed.  Roller cams or raised intake runners are prohibited.  Non-Spec cars must weigh 2450 lbs with driver after the race.
