Moring Motorsports Matt Miller Hopes To Dispose of USA Nationals Competition!
Matt Miller of Waterville Ohio will be making a return trip to Cedar Lake Speedway and this years running of the 22nd Annual USA Nationals. Known as the Buckeye Bandit, Matt drove to a fourteenth place finish last year. An uncharacteristic finish for a driver who is conditioned to consistent top ten finishes at Cedar Lake Speedway (5th – 2006, 6th – 2004, 8th – 2003).
Matt’s car owner, Larry Moring, called me and said, “We will definitely be at Cedar Lake again this year. We always have a great time when we come up there and it is a good track for us.” Larry provides Matt with great equipment with sponsorship from several of Larry’s companies with the biggest support coming from Moring’s Disposal Inc. In the past, Larry has had such esteemed drivers as Gary Webb and Steve Francis in his familiar brown, tan, and orange livery racecar.
Larry continued, “Ronnie Stuckey helps out our program quite a bit and he will be flying in from Louisiana along with another crew member. Then we will make the trip up to Cedar Lake about mid-week so we will be at the WDRL event on Thursday and then race the Nationals on the weekend.” Larry asked me about Cedar Lake and the affects of the economy on the track with car and driver turnout. I told him that while some affects are noticeable, particularly with some drivers sitting out this year, Cedar Lake’s drivers and fans have supported the speedway very well this season. Larry finished by saying; “I know the Fans really turn out for the Nationals at Cedar because the pits are always so busy after the races.”
Go to www.MattMiller7.com for information on Matt. Matt’s schedule may or may not be updated before the Nationals but Larry assures me the brown S&S hauler and trailer for Team Moring will be pulling through the pit gate at Cedar Lake Speedway. When is does, Matt, Larry, and Ronnie hope to dispose of the competition and put their hot rod in Cedar Lake’s Victory Lane.
Fans, we will see you July 30th to August 1st for this year's USA Nationals. For more information and tickets, go to
