Dennis Erb Jr. Train Will Stop At This Year’s 22nd Annual USA Nationals!
Dennis Erb Jr. of Carpentersville Illinois confirmed today that he will accept the offer of the FANS Fund and will race in this year's USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway. Erb comes off his unprecedented third straight SummerNationals point’s championship. Dennis won the championship on the last night of the month long racing grind where he narrowly beat Randy Korte for the top spot in points. In route to the title, Dennis amassed some impressive statistics on this years H e l l Tour: three (3) wins, fifteen (15) top five’s and twenty (20) top ten finishes in twenty-three (23) events.
Dennis said, “I have talked it over with Heather and she will be taking some vacation so we can come up to the USA Nationals. We have tried to run Cedar Lake in the past but with just coming off the SummerNationals and with Heather using up a lot of her vacation it is tough for us to do it.” Erb went on to say, “With the $1,000 it really helps our travel budget and provides a huge incentive for us to come and run at Cedar Lake. Heather is going to work it out with her employer and we will be up there to run Thursday event and then the entire Nationals weekend.”
Erb has officially called his 2009 the “No Chain, No Lock, This Train Won’t Stop” tour and has the theme incorporated into his t-shirt design for this year. His train has certainly been on a roll again this year picking up several big wins including the WinterNationals Finale where he pass Billy Moyer and Scott Bloomquist enroute to the win. When I asked him about his success, the quiet and competitive Erb said, “yeah, we have gotten some good wins this year but I wish we had a bunch more.” Just before we hung up Dennis made a point to stop me and say, “Tell the Fans thanks for doing this donation deal and for voting me to receive the $1000.00.”
