Cedar Lake Speedway is excited to announce an increased purse in 2014 when more than a full field of cars is on hand for regular NASCAR race nights.  With Cedar Lake’s $23,000 track point fund and other tracks dropping classes of cars, CLS is expecting a great turnout of cars next summer.

As such, management has decided to increase the purse to reward the competitors in classes that bring 25 cars or more.  The purse will be the same as last year when 20-24 are present and will be slightly lower when 19 or fewer cars are present.  When 25 cars or more are in attendance, Late Models will pay $1,500 to win and $175 to start, Modifieds will pay $800 to win and $80 to start, Pro Stocks will pay $500 to win and $70 to start, Midwest Modifieds will pay $300 to win and $45 to start, and Hornets $75 to win and $30 to start.

The total A main purse for all five divisions if 26 cars are in attendance in all divisions is $18,420 – the largest of any track in the upper Midwest!  Details of the complete purse are posted on the CLS website under competitor info.
