For Immediate Release – Cedar Lake Speedway recently invested in and installed the MyLaps scoring system and will implement transponder usage in 2015.  Cedar Lake Speedway will require MyLaps (formerly AMB) transponders on Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks and Midwest Modifieds (all classes except Hornets).

“We felt the timing was perfect to make the switch to transponders.  Many area tracks already require them and most of our weekly racers already own a transponder”, stated Brad Both (owner-Cedar Lake Speedway).  Brad went on to say, “Over the years during our special events many sanction bodies have used transponders to score their events at CLS and our experience with them has been nearly flawless.  We believe that with this change we can provide consistency and accuracy for our competitors while saving time between green flags”.

Transponders will be available at the track for purchase or rent ($25).  Competitors are encouraged to purchase their own transponder during the offseason as rentals will be limited at the track.  Transponders must be mounted on the mid-plate.  Competitors will be responsible for making sure their transponder is properly mounted and functional.
