Thanks for your interest in the USA Nationals!

We hope this page answers most of your questions about the event and we hope to see you at Cedar Lake Speedway for the annual running of the USA Nationals!


Where is Cedar Lake Speedway?

CLS is located 30 minutes east of Minneapolis/St. Paul in rural New Richmond, Wisconsin. Click HERE for map.


What is the format for the event?

Thursday night features a complete $6,000 to-win World of Outlaws Late Model event, plus a full program for the USRA Late Models. The FansFund Dash will also take place this night.  

Friday night will bring another identical $6,000 to-win World of Outlaws program along with the Cedar Lake Late Models making their first of two weekend appearances in a $2,500 to-win Friday night event. At the conclusion of Friday night’s program, the top 16 in combined points from the two nights will be locked into the USA Nationals feature race, with everyone else competing on Saturday in equal B-mains.  The top 3 cars from each B main will qualify for the main events. Drivers finishing 4th through 10th will move to a Last Chance Race and the top 2 cars in that race will earn a starting spot in the 100-lap weekend finale.

In addition to the 24 cars that qualify for the event via the racing program, the World of Outlaw provisionals (or any others) are above the 24 cars that qualify through the procedure above.


What are the rules?

The USA Nationals will utilize the current World of Outlaw rules except when pertaining to exact race format and tires. 


What tires are legal at the event?

Only the Hoosier LM30 or LM40 will be permitted at the event.  The LM40 is Required on the right rear for the 100 lap main event.


What is the purse?

How much is the entry fee & pit passes?

Car entry fee is $200. Pit passes are $35 on Thursday, $40 on Friday & $45 Saturday.


Is their camping at the track?

Camping is nearly sold out at the track but drivers may park & keep their tow rigs in the pit area all weekend. Personal vehicles will not be allowed in the pit area. To reserve a campsite outside the pit area please call 612-363-0479.


Can I bring a souvenir trailer to sell t-shirts?

Please do, we believe this adds to the atmosphere of the event and will make space available. Souvenir row is located behind our main restaurant and serves as a gathering place for race fans looking to buy products from their favorite drivers. Please call 612-363-0479 in advance to let us know you are coming.


Are there hotels nearby?

Yes, we have many hotels in the area however they fill up quickly. Click HERE for a list of nearby hotels.

This will provide fans who are unable to visit the USA Nationals the chance to watch the best drivers compete on the raciest track in the nation for nearly a quarter million dollars! What is the purse and entry fee for the Local Late Model portion of the USA Nationals?

Our local late models will run complete shows each night (Friday and Saturday). The A-main purse is as follows:

The car entry fee for the Local Late Model event is $200 for both days ($150 for both days if you pre-register).


What is the purse on Thursday for the Limited Late Models?

Our local Limited Late Models will run a complete show on Thursday night.  The A-main purse is as follows:
