CLS releases 2020 Schedule Packed with Racing!

Cedar Lake Speedway introduces dynamic 2020 event schedule!

The legendary Cedar Lake Speedway, located in New Richmond, Wisconsin has unveiled a 2020 event schedule that features 36 events spanning from early April to early October, including several new and exciting events dotting the schedule.

The 64th season at the legendary Western Wisconsin speedway will kick off with an open practice on Friday, April 3rd and the first NASCAR Dash Series event of the season will take place the following night, on Saturday, April 4th featuring Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, USRA Late Models and UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars.

The following weekend, competitors will be able to turn laps at the second open practice session of the season on Friday, April 10th with the second NASCAR Dash Series event of the year to be held on Saturday, April 11th featuring Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, USRA Late Models and UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars.

The first multi day event of 2020 will be on the schedule with the Legendary Opener weekend taking place on April 15th (practice), and then racing action on three big nights, April 16th, 17th and 18th. This event will feature a complete program for Pure Stocks, Street Stocks, Hornets, USRA Late Models and UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars on Thursday night with full shows for Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds and Traditional Sprints on Friday and Saturday.

Another open practice is scheduled for Thursday, April 23rd with NASCAR Dash Series event #3 scheduled for Saturday, April 25th featuring Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, USRA Late Models and UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars.

The annual Spring Sprint Car Special is set for Saturday, May 2nd, featuring the IRA Outlaw Sprint Cars, UMSS Winged Sprints and UMSS Traditional Sprints, plus a ‘special guest’ is in the works to be in attendance that night as well.

The very popular School Bus Special is back in 2020, scheduled for Saturday, May 9th featuring one of the most fun nights of the year in addition to racing action by the USRA Late Models and UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars.

Saturday, May 16th will feature NASCAR Dash Series event #4 featuring Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, USRA Late Models and UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars. The 16th will also serve as the rain date for the School Bus Special.

Saturday, May 23rd is the annual Pack the Track night, featuring FREE grandstand admission to all and also featuring racing action for the Pro Stocks, USRA Late Models, Hornets and the only appearance of the year by the Mini Sprints.

Saturday, May 30th and June 6th will feature NASCAR Dash Series events #5 and #6. The 30th will feature Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars and Midwest Modifieds and the 6th will see Modifieds, Pro Stocks, UMSS Traditional Sprints, UMSS Winged Sprints, Midwest Modifieds and USRA Late Models in action.

The 21st annual Masters is back on the schedule with the same format as the 2019 event, featuring three complete nights of racing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 11th, 12th and 13th.  Late Models and USMTS Modifieds will race for $3,000 on Thursday, $5,000 on Friday and $10,000 a piece on Saturday night during Masters weekend. USRA Late Models will be in action all three nights as well.

June 20th will feature NASCAR Dash Series event #7 and Kids Night. All Kids 16 and under will be admitted free. Racing on Kids Night will be Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds and the UMSS Winged Sprint Cars.

Saturday, June 27th will be the annual Firecracker Special and NASCAR Dash Series #8 featuring Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, USRA Late Models, AND the area’s biggest and best fireworks display as well.

July 2nd and 3rd, the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars will invade Cedar Lake for their traditional two night event, but this year the 2 days mega event is being held on Thursday and Friday so fans can spend the 4th of July with friends and family.

New this year - July is being dubbed as the ‘Month of Money’ at Cedar Lake as the next four events in July will feature the 2020 Series. $20k in 2020! Four regular divisions that Cedar Lake hosts will have a NASCAR Dash Series night in the month of July to race for $5,000 to win each! Pro Stocks will be up first on July 11th with their shot at $5,000, with Modifieds going for their $5k payday on July 18th. Late Models will race for $5,000 to win on July 25th and Midwest Modifieds on August 1st. The support classes each night are as follows:
July 11th – Late Models, Modifieds, Midwest Modifieds and USRA Late Models.
July 18th – Midwest Modifieds, USRA Late Models, UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars
July 25th – Modifieds, Midwest Modifieds, UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars
August 1st – Modifieds, Pro Stocks, USRA Late Models

August 6th, 7th and 8th will feature the biggest weekend of the season as the 33rd annual $50,000 to win USA Nationals will be held. Thursday will feature a $6,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model program, along with USRA Late Models with Friday and Saturday earmarked for the $50k! NASCAR Late Models will be racing compete programs on Friday and Saturday night as well.

August 15th is NASCAR Dash Series event #13 and free t-shirt night. Racing includes Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds and USRA Late Models.

August 22nd is the final NASCAR Dash Series event of 2020 and will also serve as fan appreciation season championship night. Free corn on the cob for all guests along with a full program of Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, USRA Late Models and UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars.

August 28th and 29th will be the 3rd annual Traditional Sprint Car Challenge featuring Traditional Sprint Cars, Winged Sprint Cars and Vintage Cars. Friday will also feature Midwest Modifieds and the Pro Stocks will be in action on Saturday night as well.

Saturday, September 12th is the 20th annual Jerry Richert Memorial featuring the IRA Outlaw Sprint Cars, along with 360 Winged Sprint Cars and UMSS Traditional Sprints.

The 15th annual Legendary 100 is the final multi day event of the season, being held on September 16th (practice) then a new format will see all TEN CLASSES of cars in action all three nights of the event, held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, September 17th, 18th and 19th. Preliminary events will be held for all ten divisions on Thursday and Friday with championship features on Saturday night. Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars, UMSS Winged Sprint Cars, USRA Late Models, Hornets, Street Stocks and Pure Stocks will all be in action over the huge weekend.

After the Legendary 100 weekend, the 12th annual $10,000 to win Enduro is on the schedule for Saturday, September 26th.

The annual UMSS Arrive and Drive (test and tune) is scheduled to be the final event of 2020 on Saturday, October 3rd.
