Cedar Lake Speedway announces its 2021 Schedule – the best yet!

The legendary Cedar Lake Speedway, located in New Richmond, Wisconsin has unveiled its 2021 event schedule that features 37 events spanning from early April to early October, including several new and exciting events on the 2021 schedule.

The 65th season at the Western Wisconsin speedway will kick off with an open practice on Friday, April 2nd and the first CLS Dash Series event of the season will take place the following night, on Saturday, April 3rd featuring Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, USRA Late Models and UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars.

The following weekend, competitors will be able to turn laps at the second open practice session of the season on Friday, April 9th with the second CLS Dash Series event of the year to be held on Saturday, April 10th featuring Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, USRA Late Models and UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars.

The first multi day event of 2021 will be on the schedule with the Legendary Opener weekend taking place on April 14th (practice), and then racing action on three big nights, April 15th, 16th and 17th. Following a successful Legendary 100 in 2020 with 10 classes of cars racing all three nights, the Legendary 100 will mimic this same format.  The mid April event combined with the 2021 Legendary 100 will create bookends on the schedule with 10 classes battling on the high banks of Cedar Lake Speedwy.  The Legendary Opener will feature Pure Stocks, Street Stocks, Hornets, USRA Late Models, UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars, Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds and UMSS Winged Sprint Cars.

Another open practice is scheduled for Thursday, April 22nd with CLS Dash Series event #3 scheduled for Saturday, April 24th featuring Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, USRA Late Models and UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars.  CLS Dash #4 will bring the same six divisions on Saturday, May 1st.

The annual Spring Sprint Car Special is set for Saturday, May 8th, featuring the IRA Outlaw Sprint Cars, UMSS Winged Sprints UMSS Traditional Sprints, and the fun to watch Micro Sprints.

The very popular School Bus Special is back in 2021, scheduled for Saturday, May 15th featuring one of the most fun nights of the year in addition to racing action by MW Modifieds and UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars.

Saturday, May 22nd will feature CLS Dash Series event #5 featuring Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, USRA Late Models and UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars. The 22nd will also serve as the rain date for the School Bus Special.

Saturday, May 29th is the annual Pack the Track night, featuring FREE grandstand admission to all and also featuring racing action for Micro Sprints, Hornets, Limited Late Models, and Pro Stocks.  Make sure you attend this night as CLS has special plans to remember Bob Cook and the entire Cook family.

Saturday, June 5th will feature CLS Dash Series #6 and highlight Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars and Midwest Modifieds in action.

June 12th will feature CLS Dash Series event #7 and Kids Night. All Kids 16 and under will be admitted free. Racing on Kids Night will be Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds and the UMSS Winged Sprint Cars.

The 22nd annual Masters is back on the schedule with the same format as the 2020 event, featuring three complete nights of racing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 17th, 18th and 19th.  Late Models and USMTS Modifieds will race for $3,000 on Thursday, $5,000 on Friday and $10,000 a piece on Saturday night during Masters weekend. USRA Late Models will be in action all three nights as well.

Saturday, June 26th will be the annual Firecracker Special and CLS Dash Series #8 featuring Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, USRA Late Models, UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars AND the area’s biggest and best fireworks display as well.

July 2nd and 3rd the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars will invade Cedar Lake for their traditional two night event.  UMSS Traditional Sprints will join the big dogs on Friday while the UMSS Winged Sprints will join the party on Saturday.

For the second consecutive year, July will be the ‘Month of Money’ at Cedar Lake as the next four racing events in July will feature $5k to win each and every Saturday! Four regular divisions that Cedar Lake hosts will have a CLS Dash Series night in the month of July to race for $5,000 to win each!  Modifieds will be up first on July 10th with their shot at $5,000, with Pro Stocks going for their $5k payday on July 17th. Late Models will race for $5,000 to win on July 24th and Midwest Modifieds on July 31st.

July will also present a couple fun non-racing events with a Truck and Tractor pull on Sunday, July 11th and a HUGE demolition derby on Sunday, July 25th.

August 5th, 6th, and 7th will feature the biggest weekend of the season as the 34th annual $50,000 to win USA Nationals will be held. New this year is that Thursday will feature not only a full race program for the World of Outlaws Late Model series but also a full race program of the MARS Late Model Series.  This new addition is sure to bring some great new cars!  Friday and Saturday is then earmarked for the $50k event while the CLS Late Models race compete programs on both Friday and Saturday night as well.

August 14th is CLS Dash Series event #13 HEROES Night where will welcome and let in free all of the great fire, police, first responders, medical, etc. that support all of us each and every day. Racing includes Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds and USRA Late Models.

August 21st is the final CLS Dash Series event of 2021 and will also serve as fan appreciation as well as season championship night. Fans will be thanked with free Tshirts to the first 1,000 guests as well as Free corn on the cob for all guests.  Racing will highlight a full program of Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, USRA Late Models and UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars.

August 27th and 28th will be the 4th annual Traditional Sprint Car Challenge featuring Traditional Sprint Cars, Winged Sprint Cars, Micro Sprints, and Vintage Cars. Friday will also feature Midwest Modifieds and the Pro Stocks will be in action on Saturday night as well.

Saturday, September 11th is the 21st annual Jerry Richert Memorial featuring the IRA Outlaw Sprint Cars, along with 360 Winged Sprint Cars and UMSS Traditional Sprints.

The 16th annual Legendary 100 is the final multi day event of the season, being held on September 15th (practice) then the racing packed format with TEN CLASSES of cars in action all three nights of the event, held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, September 16th, 17th, and 18th.  Preliminary events will be held for all ten divisions on Thursday and Friday with championship features on Saturday night. Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars, UMSS Winged Sprint Cars, USRA Late Models, Hornets, Street Stocks and Pure Stocks will all be in action over the huge weekend.

After the Legendary 100 weekend, the 17th annual $10,000 to win Enduro is on the schedule for Saturday, September 25th.

The annual UMSS Arrive and Drive (test and tune) is scheduled to be the final event of 2021 on Saturday, October 2nd.
