The 36th annual USA Nationals, held annually at the Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin will see an exciting format change heading into the crown jewel event at the Western Wisconsin speed plant, adding nearly $50,000 into the purse from previous years.  The total purse will now be $300,000. The event, which will take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 3rd, 4th and 5th will see the Friday night double heat format swapped for a second six thousand to-win program on Friday, setting up an even more action-packed weekend.

As has been the case for the past several years, a complete $6,000 to-win World of Outlaws CASE Late Model Series event will take place on Thursday night, plus a full program for the Cedar Lake Late Models will be on the schedule as well. The FansFund Dash will be moved from its traditional Friday night to Thursday night as part of the format change as well.

Friday night, another identical $6,000 to-win World of Outlaws program will be held, along with the Cedar Lake Late Models making their first of two weekend appearances in a $2,500 to-win Friday night event. At the conclusion of Friday night’s program, the top 16 in combined points from the two nights will be locked into the USA Nationals feature race, with everyone else competing on Saturday in Last Chance Showdowns and a Last Chance Race to earn a starting spot in the 100-lap weekend finale.

And to conclude the weekend, along with another $2,500 to-win Cedar Lake Late Model complete show, the $50,000 to-win USA Nationals finale will take place, as always, on Saturday night to wrap up the three-day mega event.
