Cedar Lake Speedway is excited to announce a complete schedule for the Inaugural Indoor Racing season at the state of the art Cedar Lake Arena.  After hosting two major racing events in March including Badger midgets, management is excited to bring car racing to the Arena all summer long.  Indoor racing will kick off on Saturday, April 6^th with a car show from 12p.m. (noon) to 4:00p.m. and racing beginning at 5:00p.m.  The race program will include micro sprint cars, 600 modifieds, and quarter midgets.  If you haven’t seen these cars race, make sure you plan to get the winter blues away with some early indoor spring racing prior to outdoor tracks opening.  The micro sprints do over 100 mph on the 1/5 mile indoor oval.  Very entertaining!  Following the indoor opener on April 6^th, Cedar Lake Arena will host indoor racing on an every other Saturday schedule throughout the summer.  There are a couple weekends where racing will occur back to back, but generally it will be every other weekend.   Quarter midgets and micro sprints will highlight many of the Saturday afternoon events (racing starts at 1:00p.m.) while 600 modifieds join the schedule 4 times over the summer.  Starting June 1, Slingshots will start racing at the Indoor Arena if Cedar Lake is able to confirm commitments from at least 6 competitors to race regularly.  Management currently has 3 commitments and is looking for 3 more.  These are very competitive and fun cars to race for both kids and adults.  If you or your child is interested in racing Slingshots, please call the Speedway at 612-363-0479.   Finally, all 11 classes of cars that race at Thunder Hill each Saturday night will make their way to experience the Cedar Lake Arena track once per month when they are not racing at Thunder Hill.  CLS is excited to work together and continue to grow kart racing in the area and welcomes all kart competitors to check out the facility.  Rules and procedures are consistent with Thunder Hill making it easy to join us for some fun!
