Updates on 2016 NASCAR Dash
Below are notes regarding the 2016 NASCAR Dash events:
The June 25th rained out NASCAR Dash event is rescheduled for Saturday, August 27th. This will be Dash race #6 (championship night) so all other events are effectively one race earlier. This matters for points as the points build for each event.
The July 23rd rained out NASCAR Dash event (race #3) is reschedule for Saturday, July 30th during the eve of destruction event. However, the Late Models will run their portion on Friday, August 5th during the USA Nationals. This allows the Late Models to compete in the challenge series race in Rice Lake on the 30th without a conflict.
Reminder on point structure……the number of points awarded increases each race. Further….the difference between positions increases as well. For races 1 and 2, the difference is 1 point. For races 3 and 4, the difference between positions is 2 points. For the last two races, the difference between each finish position is 3 points. See below for details.
